Hobart is home to some of the finest breweries in all of Australia! Join us for a leisurely afternoon as we walk through the city and visit three different breweries to sample an array of delicious beers.

Your guide will organise a tasting at each of the three venues, tailoring it to your taste, whilst also showing new and innovative styles and giving recommendations for other beers to try in the future.

Part of the tour will take place on the brewery floor, so you can see how the process takes place and learn about what makes an IPA different from an Amber Ale.

A trip to Launceston isn’t complete without a drive through the Tamar Valley. Join us as we explore Tasmanian Single Malt in one of the state’s oldest aviation buildings, then return to Launceston for a guided tour of a craft brewery followed by a selection of wood-fired pizzas for lunch. Then it’s off to the Tamar Valley to try some of the most-awarded gin in Australia and a very rare cider made in the champagne method!

Take a tour with us through the Northern suburbs of Hobart and beyond into the Derwent Valley, home of Tasmania’s hop-growing industry. We’ll head deep into the valley to visit one of the oldest craft breweries in the state on a farm in Hayes, then back South to New Norfolk, where the only Tasmanian rum distillery is plying their trade in a decommissioned mental hospital. Upon returning to Hobart, a tour of a modern gin and whisky distillery will be followed by a selection of top-quality lagers brewed on equipment that looks like a Cold War relic.

Join us on a tour of the picturesque Huon Valley, the home of apple farming in Tasmania. Our tour will take you into the heart of the Huon to sample a variety of French-style ciders and brandies, then further downriver for a selection of fruit blend ciders. Once the tastings there are complete, we’ll move across to the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, overlooking Bruny Island, to visit a sheep milk dairy, that has transformed into a gin distillery in the pursuit of sustainability and a husband and wife run whisky distillery in a renovated garage.

This action-packed tour is a great way to see a lot of what Tasmania has to offer without leaving the city centre! Wineries, distilleries, breweries and cider makers, this tour will give you a taste of everything, without the need for long drives or early starts.

We’ll start the day with a visit to one of Tasmania’s smallest distilleries in the historic Battery Point area, then move up to Fox Friday, a brewery with a cult following. Next on the tour is Simple Cider a cider maker with an attached winery and distillery! We’ll wrap up the day with a couple more lovely beers at Hobart Brewing Co. down by the waterfront.
